I am a figurative a painter working from my studio in Appleby in Cumbria. I also publish my own giclee reproductions. I became better known for  watercolours but as result of summer school at the Slade in London I have now enjoyed developing a distinctive style in oils and acrylics. This has also made me enjoy much more “plein air” painting. Over many years I have had a multitude of one man and shared exhibitions in galleries, mostly in the North of England, but also in Scotland and as far afield as Spain and New Zealand.In the past I have exhibited in the Mall galleries in London in the Royal Society of Marine Artists Open exhibitions and in the Houses of Parliament and more recently I have had regular success in having work accepted for, and been a prize-winner in the Cumbria Open Artists exhibitions.
